~ Dream Journalist Goes Public~

Many of us have learned to discredit our dreams as "unreal". My experience of dreams has proven to be just the opposite. So, as a means of honoring my dreams and inspiring those people who enjoy dream interpretation, I'm publishing my most recent dreams, with creativity, here.

I've been writing personal journals for over 20 years. A major portion of those writings consists of dream entries. In those entries I described the dreams I remembered from previous nights. Sometimes I would get "backed up", not dreaming for some days until I took the time to write down the most recent dream.

The joy and significance of dreams AND paying enough attention to record them became obvious over time. As I grew older I began to apply divination for more insight.

At this time in my life my dreams tend to be increasingly fulfilling experiences.

Dreams can carry a quality of interdimensional travel and realism that for me is confirmation of the wholeness that is available to us beyond our mundane daily experiences.

When our "dreams come true", it may be because we have honored our dreams enough to allow them to flow and grow without corrupting them with our mundane daily concerns.

We transcend time and space. Opening to that truly wholistic realness that so many of us forget.

Social activity happens in a more authentic manner in these dream spaces. Communication happens on the "soul level". A level that transcends the petty issues that separate us in our daily experiences.

Dreams can offer us doorways to parallel dimensions where we enjoy life more fully.

Welcome to the Soul Plane.

Calling Our Spirits Back

http://cache1.asset-cache.net/xc/medfr17595.jpg?v=1&c=NewsMaker&k=2&d=2325B07D3876C0080C75CFE78C04945600123AA3B5A18ED0

Prologue

Venus trine Neptune
Heightened sensibilities.
You are more attuned to the world of beauty, the arts, and the imagination. Compassion, harmony, kindness, and openness characterize this transit. Gentleness with others is the best way to harness this energy. This can be a "magical" time on a romantic and social level. The pleasures of life are experienced fully. You see the very best in people now, and this eases your interactions and takes the pressure off in personal relationships. Romance is highly favored.

"I received the following dream recollection on the eve of an interesting astrological transit for me personally. Transiting Venus trine my natal Neptune. When I first read about this transit I anticipated great artistic and sexually fulfilling activity. It had not occurred to me that this could take place on the soul plane, particularly due to the nature of the planets involved (venus-imagination and neptune - spirituality).

I had the dream while taking a late siesta. It was about 6pm when a wave of sleepiness pulled me away from physical activity. Rather than push onward with my tasks, I chose to listen to my inner calling. And I am grateful that I did.
"

This dream took place in the family room and in the kitchen of my parent's house. In the dream, a group of visitors was gathered in the family room, about five of us total. We were basically lounging and enjoying each other's company.

A woman to whom I was attracted in the dream followed me to the kitchen, appraoching me suggestively with touching, closeness and hugs, her face but kissing distance away. She also was speaking to me, saying that she did not mean to send me the wrong message (with her body?), and that in fact, she was not interested in intimacy with me. This felt like cold water on my desire for her and a sense of embarrassment on myself. Why would her mouth and her body speak in such a divergent way? She asked if I was hurt by the rejection, and I mumbled some rationalization about detachment in response.

I noticed then that there was something that had been spilled on the kitchen floor near the sink. Some foamy or lumpy liquid that I immediately made an effort to clean, looking around for a rag to begin wiping it up.

Two more friends came into the kitchen with us and started helping clean the mess. The closer of the two friends, a man asked me what had happened between myself and the alluring brunette. I explained to him in a voice that was not my own, that people who are aware when another person desires them sometimes can act in a parasitic or vampiric manner, by allowing and encouraging another person's attraction and desires for them, without reciprocating those energies. But in fact, soaking up the energy resulting from the other person's attention upon them. Its a skill many beautiful people take for granted, and I believe, quietly misuse. Stringing someone along, to put it simply. But when viewed from an energetic point of vision, we see alot more happening than innocent love games.

Epilogue

"This dream awakened a new level of energetic awareness in me. Similar to the type of energetic awareness discussed by Dr. Caroline Myss; e.g. discernment about how we invest our energies and when necessary, calling back our energy from people and situations that do not honor us. With that renewed awareness I called my spirit back from a recent love interest that I realized had become very one-sided. It had become difficult for me to accept that this person was not interested but I was in the process of letting go. Letting go of the hopes and rationalizations that perhaps she would return, and if so.. yadda yadda ... despite the overwhelming pragmatic evidence to the counter. She was not that into me, and this dream taught me a very uncomfortable lesson about what can happen to us when we give our energies (in this case in the form of affection, adoration, desire and other forms of attention), to someone who does not mutually care for us.

We bleed ourselves of energy for people who think little of us. They make no place in their busy lives to foster the same intentional and loving relationship that we have prepared so long to be a part of. Yet they benefit from the energy we exude. The time we spend thinking of them, and recalling "fond memories" like delicate flowers in our garden. The times we keep an eye out for something they might like while we are shopping. The efforts we make to cultivate a quality of affection that slips easily between time and space. No mean task.

Wasted energy?
Perhaps.

Or energy unwisely invested. Gambled, even.
And yes, perhaps wasted,
if not for our ability
to let go,
to learn,
to grow
and of course,
to call our spirits back.

The concepts of metaphysical and psychic toxicology came to me while sitting with this dream. The ways in which human energetic flows become corrupted and dis-eased by subtle experiences. The type of experiences that western medicine cannot account for except perhaps as "psychological stress". No one will go to jail for quietly driving another person crazy. Though the person driven crazy is far more likely to receive jail time.

Social nuances like the way a person communicates with other human beings, when scrutinized via higher states of awareness can reveal many levels of accountability within each of us. Getting to the truth inspiring our attractions, desires and actions... Our reception and reciprocity thereof as well. It gives us alot more to be responsible for. and I believe such levels of responsibility are essential to our developing senses of morality, particularly as technology affords us with new abilities and the time and space to approach personal development with more wholeness and succes than if we just focused on the material manifestations.

Cleaning out the Dojo - Sweeping out the Rooms with a Bamboo Bundle Broom

http://www.thdl.org/images/collections/thak_bundle.jpg

I recall a dream from this morning
in which I was in a large house with my companion.
We had been spending time together
in the upper rooms.

I then went downstairs
and was alarmed to find
a door mysteriously left open
in one of the lower rooms.

There was no one to be seen,
and I sensed it was a non-physical force
that had made its way into the dojo.
I closed the door and went
into one of the storage rooms.

There I found a bundle
of dried bamboo reeds.
I contemplated their length
and considered another small bamboo broom
that was also in the storage room.
The small broom was the size
of a fireplace sweeper
and it felt good.
But the big long bundle of reeds
felt much better.
The bundle contained
between 10 and 20 reeds of bamboo
tied together.

With two hands I could hold the lengthy bundle easily
and wield it with skill.
I carried the bundle
throughout the dojo,
shaking it.

The tips of the bamboo
at the front of the bundle
made snapping and popping sounds.
I walked through the space
reciting words of power,
clearing the corners
and sensing the nature of the being
who had entered without invitation.

The being was not necessarily demonic.
It was however unwelcome in my dojo.
I cleared out the house
with that large bamboo bundle broom.

Epilogue:

I once attended a qigong retreat in San Diego where the master held a vigilance regarding the energy field of the space where we gathered. She told us at the beginning "when you are in this space you will follow my rules" essentially. I recall one student attempted to hand another student a business card before the retreat had ended. The gesture was met with a cool stare from the master and her companion. OOPS. Soooo much for networking. :-P

Managing a space like a dojo or sanctuary can involve "bouncing" spirits. Non-physical beings flow abundantly throughout various parallel and interconnecting dimensions. An awareness of the Hiegakure (a japanese meaning "that which is hidden from ordinary sight"), is helpful, and so is a means of discerning the nature of the influence in question. One who has the responsibility of managing the atmosphere in a space may be considered mean or offensive by certain visitors. This may be due to the manager's astute and vigilant attitude towards seemingly innocent or insignificant details. Motivations, intentions, agendas, and other subtle gestures that may go unnoticed in a casual space, may get one "bounced" from the dojo.

Return of the Bear

http://animals.nationalgeographic.com/staticfiles/NGS/Shared/StaticFiles/animals/images/primary/kodiak-bear.jpg

I say return of the bear, because this is not the first bear dream I've ever had. But here it is...

I dreamt that I was in the woods
with a few dogs,
hiking and wandering about,
when a bear appeared.

My dogs ran away,
as the bear roared aggressively.

Uh oh!

I tried to run away,
but the bear ran faster than me.

I tried to climb a tree
but the bear climded better than me.

Ultimately my only escape
was to wake up from that dream.
